The position:
AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior-Mid-Level Engineer to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $68,000.00 to $85,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Junior-Mid-Level Engineer may include:

  • Contributes to designing, developing and implementing advanced simulations for Integrated Battlespace Environments
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and ensure seamless operation within the simulation framework
  • Conducts thorough testing/validation of simulation models, identifies and resolves any issues to ensure accuracy/reliability
  • Maintains detailed documentation of simulation models, software architecture and testing procedures for future reference and improvement
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments in simulation technology, electrical engineering and related fields to contribute innovative ideas and solutions

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Computer Engineering
  • Possesses a strong understanding of electrical principles, radio frequencies, simulation principles and methodologies
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB or Java
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, signal processing and computer hardware
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in a team-oriented environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards and protocols
  • Knowledge of real-time systems and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations

Physical environment and working conditions:
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.  In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as forklifts and dollies.  This position may also require driving government vehicles.
