The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Project Analyst (Scheduler)-Journeyman to support Aircraft Prototype System Division. The salary range of this position is $62,000.00 - $85,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Project Analyst (Scheduler)-Journeyman may include:

  • Analyzes project requirements in the areas of business management, financial management, program scheduling, milestone tracking, critical path analyses and support requirements
  • Performs other related analyst/management activities required for successful completion of required tasks
  • Assists with impact studies, cost and benefit analysis, dependency models and project tracking methodologies to ensure the success and efficiency of assigned projects
  • Provides support for critical operations related to Comptroller Functions, Acquisition, Navy ERP training/implementation and Navy ERP role mapping
  • Demonstrates experience in cost/benefit analysis, quality control, successful completion of critical path events and project tracking
  • Obtains project data including but not limited to financial and schedule information from project team and updates existing access database
  • Compiles and tracks information for Engineering Change Request documents for projects
  • Collects and formats financial and status data for reports and project reviews
  • Attends weekly meetings for projects, documents minutes, tracks open actions and designs changes
  • Assists project lead in tracking spending/recoveries on specific charge numbers
  • Assembles and submits biweekly project status report to branch head
  • Creates and interprets organizational and MS project schedules
  • Reports schedules to branch and division heads
  • Converts complex schedules into simplified schedules for briefing
  • Creates divisional and branch reports
  • Presents reports at project review meetings

 

Must-haves:

  • BS Degree or BA Degree in business, management or a technical discipline-In lieu of BS/BA Degree: A total of 11 years’ experience OR an AS/AA Degree and 9 years of relevant work experience in
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint and MS Project
  • Experience obtaining project financial/schedule data
  • Ability to update existing MS Access database
  • Experience recording and tracking project change information
  • Ability to attend weekly meetings for projects
  • Ability to document minutes, track open actions and design changes
  • Experience preparing and submitting biweekly project status report to branch head
  • Ability to create and interpret organizational and project schedules
  • Ability to convert complex schedules into simplified schedules for briefing
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

 

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Associate in Project Management
  • Experience as a MS Project power user
  • Experience collecting and formatting financial and status information for reports
  • Experience assisting project lead in tracking spending/recoveries on specific projects
  • Experience reporting schedules to branch and division heads

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

 

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
