AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer-Intermediate to support the Airworthiness Cybersafe Office.The salary range of this position is $103,000.00 - $133,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

A typical day as a Software Developer-Intermediate may include:

  • Programs/Problem Solves
  • Identifies/Fixes high complexity software bugs
  • Participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
  • Coordinates with other team members
  • Provides/Applies peer code review feedback
  • Assists in developing technical requirements for user requirements

 

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of DoD aviation/flight clearance product set experience and an Associate Degree in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan/accomplish goals
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with a front-end web framework (Ex: Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience with a back-end web framework (Ex: Express.js, Django, Spring, etc.)
  • Experience with code repositories and versioning systems (Git, Subversion, etc.)
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with issue tracking software (jira, gitlab, etc.)
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) Databases
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with software package managers (npm, maven, etc.)
  • Experience with ES6+ JavaScript/typescript

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

 

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. 

 

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs.
