The position:
AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented EMI/EMC Engineer to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $69,992.00 to $104,000.00, and is commensurate with experience.
This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an EMC/EMI Engineer may include:

  • Develops and implements solutions for electromagnetic compatibility challenges
  • Designs and implements EMC/EMI test methodologies for aerospace systems and components
  • Conducts thorough EMC/EMI testing using advanced equipment and techniques
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and address EMC/EMI issues in product development
  • Develops and implements strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in EMC/EMI performance
  • Studies and researches emerging technologies and industry trends in EMC/EMI engineering

Must-haves:
  • B.S. In Electrical Engineering or related Field
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in EMC/EMI engineering, focusing on aerospace applications
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing methodologies, industry standards and experience in relevant software tools/simulation techniques
  • Possesses strong analytical/problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Possesses a commitment to staying updated on advancements in EMC/EMI technologies
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional certification in EMC/EMI engineering
  • Familiarity with military or commercial aerospace systems
  • Expertise in RF (radio frequency) engineering

Physical environment and working conditions: The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel may be required.

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as forklifts and dollies.
