AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Operations Research Analyst to support the Airworthiness Cybersafe Office. The salary range of this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

A typical day as an Operations Research Analyst may include:

  • Collects/Analyzes data and uses mathematical modeling/optimization methods to develop and interpret information that may assist ACO leadership with decision making
  • Provides recommendations to leadership based on past military and aircraft experience
  • Assists with the training of PD's
  • Facilitates discussions and consensus building for policy decisions and/or execution
  • Identifies deficiencies, approves existing ACO workflows and processes where needed
  • Assists the PD's and SAE's to improve efficiency/overall effectiveness of ACO services

 

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years DoD Aviation experience and an Associate Degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree-These 2 years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of 10 years to meet the experience requirement, requiring a total of 12 years of experience
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience from former Civilian Service/Military Air Crew/Aircraft Maintainer that can be applied to lead and/or participate in AW/CYBERSAFE Policy development/Review/Modification
  • NAVAIR, DON, DoD and/or international-level experience
  • Experience with consensus building for policy decisions and/or execution
  • The ability to formulate and apply mathematical modeling/other optimizing methods in order to develop/interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation or other managerial functions
  • Prior Experience collecting/analyzing data and developing decision support software, services, or products
  • Developing and supplying optimal time, cost or logistics networks for program evaluation, review or implementation
  • The ability to perform in a team environment, demonstrate leadership, promote decision-making and possess a self-starter attitude
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft (MS) products
  • Possesses a strong computer use background to include using editorial/graphics software running on local, networked or web-based platforms and websites
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with special flight clearance processes
  • Prior Knowledge of NATOPS, NATIPS and IFC's
  • Experience with Product Developer on multiple aircraft platforms
  • Experience in CASOTF
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Possess decision making and leadership skills
  • Ability to train others on Airworthiness procedures and processes
