The position:
AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Subject Matter Expert (Simulation Operator)-Journeyman-Senior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $100,000.00 to $150,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Position Background:
The Analysis, Debrief, and Test (ADT) Branch supports the development, integration and testing of the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB) product suite. The software products comprising the JTB support modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed.
A typical day as a Subject Matter Expert (Simulation Operator)-Journeyman-Senior may include:
- Conducts general subject matter research, analysis, correlation and assessment
- Performs as the liaison between military personnel and JTB Developers
- Participates in software test activities to include: troubleshooting, executing and developing test procedures
- Supports as technical liaison with Project Leads and outside organization
- Supports as tactical expert for NGTS Editors (PDE, PE, BE) for development of requirements for outside organizations
- Supports as a JTB expert user in customer training, software demonstrations, integration and test events
- Supports as a Tactics SME with a background in: weapons, sensors, platforms and behaviors
- Analyzes classified threat system design/specs and capabilities/performance in a given engagement scenario
- Reviews Intelligence reports for aircraft weapons for requirements development
Must-haves:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 8 years of relevant work experience
- 8 years of experience with military platforms and systems
- 4 years of experience with integrated simulation
- Experience with Simulator Operations
- Must be able to obtain DoD Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience supporting Model and Simulation efforts

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
