The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented C++ Software Developer to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $80,000.00 to $110,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a C++ Software Developer may include:

• Develop software related to closed-loop radar simulators and other electronic warfare (EW) modeling and simulation.
• Develop analytics software to extract data from closed-loop radar simulators to support customer testing objectives.
• Develop software in C++ using Qt.
• Develop and use data analysis scripts using Python or MATLAB to assist customers in getting the data that supports their test objectives.
• Work with SMEs using EWIRDB and other EW models to develop and troubleshoot existing systems.
• Work with with SMEs to capture and analyze data.

Must-haves:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math and Physics may qualify with at least 3 years of C++ experience.
• Experience developing on Linux a plus.
• Experience using Qt a plus
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.  In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
