The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Engineer (IPT Lead)-Journeyman to support Digital and Electro Magnetic Spectrum. The salary range of this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Systems Engineer (IPT Lead)-Journeyman may include:
- Serves as a Functional and Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electronic warfare threats, the AN/ALQ 260 self-contained expendable digital radio frequency memory (DRFM) jammer, radar data and test and evaluation
- Integrates intelligence functions to create a feedback loop where systems collect intelligence that improves their effectiveness while simultaneously supporting broader air warfare operations
- Writes and updates intermediate and final technical documents including system requirements and design specifications/documents, white papers and engineering notes
- Leads project-related meetings (milestone reviews, status, design, etc.)
- Hosts and conducts technical meetings/teleconferences
- Performs requirements analysis and management
- Develops system architecture design
- Supports specialized technical areas
- Integrates EW payload
- Performs Cloud engineering
- Conducts tests and evaluation
- Counters Electronic Warfare threats
- Mitigates radar threats
- Conducts counter-counter measures
- Manages threat library
- Works independently in a team environment or leads a small team
- Uses Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Uses excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written and listening) when engaging with staff/customers and preforms organizational level communications for both formal and informal circumstances
- Travels up to 25% to perform daily responsibilities-Some travel within the Continental United States required
Must-haves:
- MS/MA Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline: Additional 4 years of relevant work experience with a BS Degree may qualify
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience working as an F-35 Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead
- Knowledge of F-35 EW system architecture design
- Experience with EW software architecture and sensors
- Experience of requirements analysis & management
- Experience with Cloud engineering
- Experience with radar threat mitigation
- Experience with counter-counter measures
- Experience with threat library management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Experience with communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written and listening) when engaging with staff/customers and performing organizational level communications for both formal and informal circumstances
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
- Engineering Degree
- Experience with MBSE
- Experience in SYSML

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.
