The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Tactical and Operational Test- Subject Matter Expert to support Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron One, contingent upon contract award.

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Subject Matter Expert.

A typical day as a Tactical and Operational Test- Subject Matter Expert may include:

• Candidate will serve as Tactical & Operational SME supporting test technical planning, execution, and post-test activities.
• Directly supporting the set-up, hardware software integration, and technical test preparation of systems and aircraft being tested.
• Ensure test equipment is ready and capable of supporting the Operational Test Mission Plan.
• Mission Avionics experience
• Experienced Operational Test Technician Subject Matter Expert
• Test equipment management

Must-haves:

• BA/BS desired or  20 years' relative work experience
• F35 Data Link Interoperability Verification and Validation
• Understanding of other Tactical Data Links used in USN/USMC airborne environments
• Thorough understanding of mission avionics and communications systems
• Understanding of test points and test planning related to avionics and communications systems
• Understanding of both F/A-18 and F-35B/C mission systems desired
• DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the worksite.  In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required. This position may also require driving government vehicles.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
