AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Department of Defense (DoD)/ Federal Contractor, is seeking highly motivated and talented Test and Evaluation EMI Engineer to support the E3 Division.

A typical day as a Test and Evaluation EMI Engineer may include:

• Acts as a test team leader, managing assigned project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution.
• Will interface with system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of EMI test and evaluation

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 years of EMI/EMC test experience
• Experience with EMI test plans and reports
• Experience conducting MIL-STD-461, testing to verify radiated and conducted electromagnetic compliance of aircraft or other electronic systems or subsystems
• Experience with Electromagnetic Emission Control (EMCON) test and evaluation a plus
• DoD Secret security clearance

Education and Certifications:

• BSEE/BSEET

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to stand and walk throughout his/her workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as fork lifts and dollies. 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
