The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented TEMPEST Project Lead (Electrical Engineer)- Journeyman to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Position Background:
The Digital Analytics, Infrastructure, and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group is at the cutting edge of Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (AARDT&E). Our state-of-the-art laboratories are equipped to work seamlessly together, enabling comprehensive testing and evaluation of aircraft and weapons systems across the Department of Defense. What sets the DAiTA Group apart is our exceptional ability to mitigate program risks by crafting intricate battlespace environments where cutting-edge concepts, advanced hardware, and skilled warfighters can dive into the missions of both today and the future. The Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test (IBST) Department is at the heart of this innovative ecosystem. This team is the driving force behind the research, development, management, design, documentation, fabrication, installation, integration, testing, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of the Air Combat Environment Test Facility (ACETEF) and other DAiTA AARDT&E capabilities, laboratories, and facilities. With IBST at the helm, we're not just preparing for the future but shaping it.
A typical day as a TEMPEST Project Lead (Electrical Engineer)- Journeyman may include:
- Coordinates, tests and verifies TEMPEST requirements with teammates and customers
- Develops and mentors teammates through the development of TEMPEST control plans, test procedures and test reports
- Leads TEMPEST analyses and implements mitigation strategies to assure compatibility and TEMPEST security of all physical, functional and system interfaces
- Leads the evaluation of design drawings to verify and correct system design to TEMPEST standards
- Leads TEMPEST testing of hardware/software systems in labs and on-aircraft to verify adherence to TEMPEST standards
Must-haves:
- BS Degree relevant subject or discipline for the position with a minimum of 2 years of relevant direct working experience
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- 5 or more years of related work experience working with RF and/or aircraft systems
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry
- Experience using RF test and measurement instrumentation (such as receivers, antennas, analyzers and oscilloscopes)
- The ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required
- The ability to obtain and maintain SAP and/or SCI access as required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
- Certified TEMPEST Professional - Level I or Level II certification
- Previous experience with Electromagnetic Effects

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in the field for a majority of their day, on site versus in an office. The physical environment also requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for part of the day.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.
The employee is required to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs. Operation of machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects, such as forklifts and dollies, may be required.
