The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Quality Assurance (Systems Manager)-Senior to support the AMEWAS Corporate Office. The salary range of this position is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Quality Assurance (Systems Manager)-Senior may include:

  • Develops and maintains Management Systems based on company strategic goals and milestones demonstrating solid progress against the plan
  • Manages all external registration requirements to ensure they are met
  • Works with external bodies on all matters relating to registration
  • Maintains and improves business needs
  • Implements all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensures that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised; ensures that all systems are modified to meet the needs of internal processes and external certification bodies
  • Updates quality documentation and communication to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns
  • Ensures that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all company and customer requirements/audits
  • Introduces new systems and procedures where appropriate based on direction of senior management
  • Trains others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
  • Undertakes regular internal and process audits of the QMS
  • Ensures corrective actions are taken to address non-conformities found
  • Verifies closure of non-conformities with Certification Bodies
  • Holds routine management review meetings within the business and with Certification Bodies
  • Manages the audit nonconformity database
  • Provides detailed analysis of nonconformities
  • Ensures ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System as all scoped standards required
  • Attends various meetings and communicates instructions
  • Produces written reports/Creates presentations
  • Undertakes continuous training and development
  • Identifies business improvement opportunities within the organization
  • Develops, implements and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
  • Sets department objectives/KPIs and reviews/assess ongoing performance of direct reports
  • Ensures KPIs are met by working to the overall plan (including management) and reporting
  • Reports on achievement of targets and identifies actions required
  • Conducts risk assessment of process and tasking
  • Motivates and coaches the team to operational success
  • Promotes high standards through personal example so that each member understands the expectations of the team
  • Reviews, implements and updates performance reviews/risk assessments
  • Communicates KPIs from the strategic annual plan to leadership

 

Must-haves:

  • BS Degree: HS Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience may qualify
  • 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with CMMI team appraisals and ISO Audits
  • In-depth knowledge of the CMMI model
  • Experience with decision, analysis and resolution processes
  • Experience with Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • Experience with internal audits of quality systems
  • Experience with writing policies, procedures, work instructions and training material documents
  • Strong gap-analysis skills and experience with assessing QA compliance
  • Excellent leadership/management and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience leading presentations
  • Organizational and follow-up skills
  • Competence in problem-solving, team-building, planning, decision-making and compliance awareness
  • Excellent experience analyzing and reviewing date
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to teach and mentor
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

 

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
