AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Department of Defense (DoD)/ Federal Contractor, is seeking highly motivated and talented Supply Technician.  This position is on a SCA contract which is subject to the terms and conditions of the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA).

 A typical day as a Supply Technician may include:

  • Performs most aspects of technical supply management work including purchasing, receiving, storage, tracking, and disposal.
  • This work requires an understanding of program requirements, together with specific variations from standardized guidelines.
  • Assignments require a deep knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization services; and analytical ability to define or recognize problems involved and recommend action based on application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy; follow up on discrepancies with the initiating department; identify available suppliers for each requisitioned item.
  • Organize and maintain computerized records containing vendor and bid information. 
  • Organize bids for review by the specialist.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments as requested; respond to inquiries. Correspond with vendors regarding prices, product availability, and delivery.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff regarding requisitions, purchase orders, contracts and pricing information.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in performing the stated functions
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Education and Certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.  In rare occasions, travel may be required.
