Description

AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Department of Defense (DoD)/ Federal Contractor, is seeking highly motivated and talented Systems Administrator to support the MIL program.

Location:  California, Maryland #1 City Hiring the Most High-Tech Workers (California-Lexington Park, Maryland). To learn more about our surrounding location, please visit: Visit St. Mary’s.

A typical day as an Information Assurance Analyst may include:

  • Development of Risk Management Framework accreditation packages
  • Work with system administrators and others supporting the continuous monitoring efforts
  • Perform system audit log reviews
  • Perform vulnerability (ACAS) and compliance (SCAP) scans
  • Review ACAS and SCAP vulnerability data and make remediation effort recommendations
  • Assist in the development of mitigation strategies for open POA&M findings.
  • Monitor user accounts
  • Coordinate with system administration team to ensure computer systems meet compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with DISA STIGS, SCAP tools and ACAS desired
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53)
  • Technical background in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Education and Certifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Security+
