The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Information Assurance Specialist (Critical Program Information)-Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $100,000.00 - $155,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Position Background:
The Battlespace Division is a government organization comprised of four branches that are dedicated to providing enterprise level modeling and simulation (M&S) tools in support of warfighter training; test and evaluation (T&E); data analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. The tools include the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), the Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID), the Weapons Server Common Environment (WSCE), the Simulation Control Executive (SCE), the Simulation Debrief Tool (SDT), and the Analysis and Reporting Tool (ART). The Battlespace Division designs, develops, documents and deploys these tools. The Battlespace Division also delivers these products as an integrated suite of tools called Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB); the battlespace for JSE.
A typical day as an Assurance Specialist (Critical Program Information)-Journeyman may include:
- Manages the cost, schedule and performance of technology protection efforts
- Utilizes expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources, report on the technical progress, issues, problem areas and write/review technical documents
- Leads technical assessments of CPI, Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Program Protection Plans (PPPs)
- Facilitates Technology Protection Integrated Product Teams (IPT) in analyzing programs for potential Critical Program Information (CPI), evaluating/identifying CPI and developing/recommending appropriate countermeasures to protect CPI for program management’s consideration
- Disseminates TP policies and best practices while effectively managing implementation of Critical Program Information (CPI) identification, Program Protection Planning (PPP), Operational Security (OPSEC), Classification Management and Foreign Disclosure (FD) planning processes to ensure mission success
- Produces reports and assists in the development, coordination and implementation of RTP and security policy
Must-haves:
- BS/BA Degree in business, technical or scientific discipline: Other substitutes may qualify
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- 3 years of experience in Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity or Technology Protection
- Basic understanding of the various security disciplines such as Physical Security (PHYSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information System Security (INFOSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC) and Cyber Security
- Working knowledge of appropriate DoD and Service Directives, Regulations, Instructions and guidelines
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Systems Engineering Certificate (INCOSE)

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
