AMEWAS is actively seeking a Project or Program Manager.  The candidate will act as the lead for the contract with overall corporate responsibility for contract management and execution.  The Project/Program Manager will provide direct oversight of contract or technical issue resolution and actions, as well as interface and routinely communicate with the customer to ensure appropriate performance and oversight for the contract with regard to ensuring cost, schedule and reporting are completed as required.

A typical day as Project Manager:

This position will be responsible for managing the technical requirements of the contract and will also oversee and report on team activities, software and documentation deliverables, funds expenditure reports, travel budget, overall funding and tasking.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan for development team tasking, task-orders, milestones and deliverables ensuring adequate customer funding and negotiated performance expectations
  • Coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, typically including technical and management government representatives
  • Communicate and influence performance and deliverables among high-performing software development professionals
  • Agile software development (or similar) experience
  • Documentation development and delivery
  •  

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant software deliverables within an agile development environment
  • The Project Manager will be experienced in scheduling and running project kick-off meetings, leading technical interchange meetings, facilitating task order planning and execution with corporate and government customers
  • Oversight and facilitating of agile development procedures, processes, activities and deliverables
  • This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
  • This is mid-to-senior level position with good organizational skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance as needed
  • Strong time management / prioritization skills
  • Strong written English language skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Desired:  Agile / SCRUM master, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), PMP (Project Mangement)
  • NATIPS/NATOPS familiarity
