The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Entry Specialist to support Aircraft Prototype System Division. This position is on a SCA contract which is subject to the terms and conditions of the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA).

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Data Entry Specialist.

This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Data Entry Specialist may include:

  • Receiving parts/components/assemblies from Mechanics, Technicians, or Planners and entering information about them into a network database
  • Checking and tracking status of parts/components/assemblies for quality control inspectors in a network database
  • Maintaining inventory of parts/components/assemblies in a network database and doing daily audits of products in an indoor storage/staging area to verify listings in the network database
  • Maintaining and keeping indoor storage/staging area organized with proper locations/labeling track of shelves for products
  • Electronically filing graphical engineering portable document files as work orders named RLWOs
  • Maintaining inquiries about and verifying that the RLWOs have been satisfied and completed processing by other work shops
  • Receiving Mechanical Inspection reports from Mechanical Inspectors and transferring data from reports to EXCEL based Inspection reports

Must-haves:

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • MS Excel, multi-tasking and organizational experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to work Monday through Thursday, 0600-1530; and every other Friday, 0600-1430
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
