The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Confluence Administrator to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation 

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Systems Administrator.

About the location:  Washington, DC https://washington.org/ 

This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Confluence Administrator may include:

Responsible for a Major Portal leveraging confluence and JIRA to meet fleet requirements managing and executing all JIRA & Confluence tasks, to include integration of other software tools to ensure successful Portal operations.

  • Will help ensure Portal user can access necessary information, effectively utilizing capabilities to perform operations. Identifies strategic implications of operational efforts and recommend courses of action to proactively position the user for success.
  • Engages with Portal users and stakeholders to ensure systems are designed, functional, and follow all published guidance.
  • Be an expert in all things Atlassian, including Confluence, JIRA, Big Picture, plugin, and integration configuration.
  • Help to ensure our global teams are using Atlassian products effectively for a rapidly growing organization across two networked environments.

Must-haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with administering and developing solutions on JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with designing content management and data taxonomies, configuring JIRA modules, and selecting useful add-ons, JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, or screens schemes
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  On some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the worksite.
