Description
AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Department of Defense (DoD)/Federal Contractor, is seeking highly motivated and talented individual to serve as a Systems Administrator providing future support to a branch of a major Test Facility. The Systems Administrator may also be called upon to support Linux systems.

A typical day as the Systems Administrator:
- Install new Windows OS releases, upgrades, patches
- Harden/STIG systems
- Secure systems in accordance with local and DoD policies
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve software or other network and system problems
- Monitor daily backup and recovery processes and statuses
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
- ACAS/SCAP experience is highly desired
- Linux experience is highly desired
- Ability to harden/STIG systems
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- DoD SECRET security clearance
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Security+ certification is required
Work Environment:
The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
