The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer (Multi Jammer Characteristic)-Journeyman to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Engineer (Multi Jammer Characteristic)-Journeyman may include:

• Develops and operates software written in C++ that controls/coordinates robotics and antenna positioning systems along with radio frequency (RF) instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and other RF receivers)
• Uses Qt in an anechoic chamber testing facility
• Supports electronic warfare (EW) test activities with customers
• Develops and utilizes data analysis scripts using Python/MATLAB to assist customers in getting the data that supports their test objectives
• Works with mechanical engineers and technicians to develop new EW test capabilities
• Troubleshoots existing EW test capabilities

Must-haves:

• BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering: Degrees in Engineering, Math and Physics may qualify
• 5 years of experience operating and coding to control RF test equipment and instrumentation
• 3 years of C++ experience
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience with source control management such as Git
• Experience using Python and MATLAB
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience supporting EW testing
• Experience using Qt

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.

The employee is required to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
