The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Integration Test Engineer-Journeyman. The salary range of this position is $95,300.00 - $139,900.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Systems Integration Test Engineer-Journeyman may include:
- Supports the operation, integration and testing of Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB) systems used for distributed mission training
- Monitors system health, reviews ongoing issues and coordinates with government/contractor teams to support scheduled training events and integration activities
- Installs and configures software/hardware components, troubleshoots connectivity and interoperability issues across long-haul WAN networks, executes test procedures, analyzes system performance and documents results
- Works closely with software developers, network engineers and operational users to diagnose and resolve technical issues, validate new system releases and ensure all JTB components are operating reliably in both local and distributed training environments
- Develops test documentation, records discrepancies, supports problem resolution efforts and contributes to the continuous improvement of JSE training capabilities
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or STEM related discipline
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- 3 years of experience supporting systems integration, test engineering or network engineering
- Experience developing and executing system integration and test plans
- Experience troubleshooting complex software, hardware and networked systems
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and WAN architectures
- Experience creating technical documentation, test reports and engineering assessments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently in a dynamic operational environment
- AMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) or distributed simulation/training systems
- Knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA) or other simulation interoperability standards
- Experience with network analysis and troubleshooting tools (Ex. Wireshark)
- Experience supporting military training systems, distributed mission operations or test and evaluation activities
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments
- Experience using Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work with simulation equipment, on site versus in an office. The physical environment may require the employee to work in an office at times, looking at a computer for part of the day.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
