AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Engineer to provide support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Maritime Patrol & Reconnaissance Aircraft Program, PMA-290E. The Network Systems Administrator will provide support at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, MD.

A typical day as the Network Engineer:

• Build and maintain various network equipment
• Install new software releases and system upgrades
• Evaluate and install patches
• Resolve software related issues
• Perform system backup and recovery
• Maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
• Experience adhering to Information Assurance (IA) guidelines
• Familiarity and experience with building and maintaining network equipment
• Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• US Citizenship and a current DoD SECRET security clearance is required. A current TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred, however the ability to obtain this will be required

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• Security+ certification is required
• Windows Server certification, or other related certifications are highly desired
