The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineering Technician-Junior to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $50,000.00-$75,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for remote work; as needed.

A typical day as an Engineering Technician-Junior may include:

• Assists with the daily operations of the Minotaur System Integration lab (MSIL)
• Updates and tracks system changes
• Installs and fits system level modifications and document changes
• Maintains a detailed spreadsheet that tracks the status of all purchases and provides a status update to the customer each week
• Assists with regression testing of new Minotaur software and provides a detailed report with any bugs noted

Must-haves:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Basic usage and desire to learn test equipment and its operation
• Willingness to Learn
• Strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
• The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start

Desired Skills:

• Academic knowledge/Working towards Computer Software and Hardware ScansSecurity + certification

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.  Overnight travel will be required.

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects, such as forklifts and dollies.
