The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Security Engineer-Senior. The salary range of this position is $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Systems Security Engineer-Senior may include:

• Supports Naval Aviation acquisition programs
• Supports a major ACAT developmental program
• Supports a full range of engineering services including cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, software and hardware penetration testing and reverse engineering
• Provides support to the NAVAIR Red Team as well as other Naval Aviation acquisition programs
• Supports PMA-213 and/or PMA-234 at NAVAIR and travels 10 to15% of the time to support other sites as needed

Must-haves:

• BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific or technical discipline from an accredited college/university
• 10 years of relevant work experience
• 10 years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering including systems security engineering
• Programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems
• Experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems
• Experience in systems engineering, SSE and cybersecurity related to weapon systems and platforms
• Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes and applications
• Experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle
• The ability to travel 10 to 15% of the time to other sites as needed
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Top Secret Clearance required to start

Desired Skills:

• MA/MS Degree in a related scientific or technical discipline
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering and digital engineering transformations
• Recent experience in AT systems engineering
• Recent experience with DoD acquisitions

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.
