The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Management Analyst (Finance Team)-Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

Position Background:
The Battlespace Division supports modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed, and managed.
A typical day as a Management Analyst (Finance Team)-Journeyman may include:
- Analyzes project requirements in the areas of business management, financial management, program scheduling, milestone tracking, critical path analysis and support requirements
- Performs other related analyst/management activities required for successful completion of required tasks
- Assists with impact studies, cost/benefit analysis, financial forecasting/burn rates, dependency models and project tracking methodologies to ensure the success and efficiency of assigned projects
- Demonstrates experience in cost/benefit analysis, quality control, successful completion of critical path events and project tracking
- Utilizes Cost Distribution Accounts (CDA) and Direct Product Accounts (DPA)
- Demonstrates knowledge of Fiscal Laws (Anti-Deficiency Act [ADA], Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness [FIAR]), Appropriation Law and government contracting
- Assists government PM with improving financial processes and reporting
- Supports development of financial team processes and training
- Conducts financial review and approval for overtime requests, material purchases and travel requests of BMS team personnel
- Works in a dynamic team environment of Software Developers and Subject Matter Experts (SME's)
- Assists BMS SMEs/project leads in generating Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for sponsor organizations
Must-haves:
- BA/BS Degree in business, technical, scientific discipline or qualifying substitute
- 3 years of relevant work experience within the DoD
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with a software development team
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, Cost Distribution Accounts (CDA), Direct Product Accounts (DPA) and/or Atlassian Tool Sets such as Confluence and Jira

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
