Description

AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Department of Defense (DoD)/ Federal Contractor, is seeking highly motivated and talented Red Team/Offensive Cyber Specialist to support the Division ACETEF. Cyber Warfare is a serious threat to today’s military mission systems and sound Cyber Security practices for NAVAIR’s networks, platforms, and weapons systems are essential to meet that threat. Today’s weapon systems must be hardened and protected and must also be tested to ensure continued security and protection of the system, platform, data and personnel.

A typical day as a Red Team/Offensive Cyber Specialist may include:

  • The Red Team/Offensive Cyber Specialist will test cyber security methods by representing Red Force (Adversaries) hackers using a variety of tools and will attempt to reveal threats to our platforms so system engineers can counter those threats quickly.
  • The Red Team/Offensive Cyber Specialist must work both independently and in a team environment and be able to devise methods of penetrating robust cyber security environments.
  • The specialist must research and devise methods that would likely be used by adversaries and emulate adversaries by carrying out attacks in a controlled environment.
  • The specialist must also be able to work with engineers and technicians to assist in understanding various cyber vulnerabilities and threats to assist in securing the system to protect against future threats and penetration.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Entry Level- Minimum of 1 to 3 years
  • Mid-Senior Level- Minimum of at least 3 years
  • DoD Top Secret security clearance

Education and Certifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
  • Certified Ethical Hacking or equivalent certification
  • Operating System specific certification or training

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
