Description

AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Defense Contracting Firm, is seeking highly motivated and talented Programmers to support the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) group at NAS Patuxent River.

A typical day as an NGTS Programmer:

  • Evaluate and review C++ language code
  • Programming using C++, Python, MATLAB and Java
  • Add- Integrate software with RF test equipment, robotics and aircraft data buses
  • Develop and debug C++ code using MS VisualStudio
  • Collaborate with team members to design future enhancements


Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of programming experience
  • Experience specifically in C++, Python,MATLAB,and Java
  • Experience debugging software, version control systems (Git, SVN, etc), and build environments
  • Knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object oriented software design.
  • Knowledge of Qt toolkit, OSG, OpenGL, UI design, and graphics are highly desired
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance


Education:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
