The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Part-Time Maintenance Worker, Custodian to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation.

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Custodian.

A typical day as a Part-Time Maintenance Worker, Custodian may include:

  • Stock, clean, and sanitize bathrooms on a day-to-day basis.
  • Keep office spaces in classified area trash and dust free.
  • Perform routine cleaning areas including dusting, mopping and sweeping floors.

Must-haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance

Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion. Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets.  Is reliable, possesses initiative, and works well as an individual or part of a team.

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as forklifts and dollies.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
