The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and talented Configuration Analyst to support the Aircraft Prototype System Division.

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Configuration Analyst.

About the location:  Patuxent River, Maryland #1 City Hiring the Most High-Tech Workers (California-Lexington Park, Maryland). To learn more about our surrounding location, please visit: Visit St. Mary’s.

A typical day as a Configuration Analyst may include:

  • Performs configurations management of project drawings and documentation.
  • Reviews project drawings and documentation to ensure all proper approvals were received and that the CM processes and procedures are followed.
  • Distributes drawings and documentation to APSD employees and customers upon request.
  • Assists employees with using and entering documentation into the CM tool.
  • Reviews projects prior to completion to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and/or under CM control.

Must-haves:

  • BS/BA is a business or management discipline (such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics or management information technology) from an accredited college or university.
  • In lieu of BS/BA Degree, a total of 6 years’ experience OR an AS/AA degree and 4 years of experience in performing the stated functions.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Pro knowledge is desired
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.  In rare occasions, travel may be required.
