The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer (EO-IR Test Support)-Senior to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $120,000.00-$160,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

A typical day as an Engineer (EO-IR Test Support)-Senior may include:
- Supports field testing
- Supports multiple test events per year, including ground, flight and live-fire events
- Reviews and provides recommendations for test configurations
- Assists in test setup and teardown
- Operates and troubleshoots data collection systems during events
- Generates and distributes test logs
- Supports post-event testing
- Conducts data analyses/scoring on system performance
- Develops and presents event reporting
- Coordinates and distributes event data and data analysis
- Supports program office testing
- Provides SME level inputs to test squadrons in support of their test planning and flight card preparation
- Coordinates with Operational Test and Developmental Test groups to ensure appropriate test points have been planned/captured to satisfy OT and DT needs
- Assists in the development and updating of program test documentation, to include: TEMP/Requirements Matrices/Modeling and Simulation Validation
- Supports recurring WIPT meetings and other coordination events
Must-haves:
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics or other technical degree
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience interfacing with test ranges, test support groups and DT & OT reps
- SME level experience in optical, infrared and laser-based aircraft protection systems
- The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance- Secret Clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
- Experience with DAIRCM and or LAIRCM

Candidates must have a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion, and have the ability to work effectively with both management, and as part of a team, to meet project targets.
Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.
The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs. This position may also require driving government vehicles.
